Hi, just a quick question I was driving today and I must admit I gambled a little bit with the lights; I believe I went through on a really late amber , it must of changed to red as soon as I crossed the line I didn’t really feel like stopping so whatever comes out of it let it be.

tHis was on a round about in south mimms; now there was a police car there sadly not behind me however to the left of me trying to enter the roundabout, I’m not sure if he had a clear view of the lights however he turned he’s blue lighfs on for a brief second and then simply turned them off, he must of changed his mind as he turned them off and drove simply past me, Didn’t even try stopping me or anything like that which he could of easily done as I was stuck at the next set of lights behind other traffic.

Now to make this clear if he wanted to pull me over he could of easily told me to follow him and come off the round about to go into south mimms services where he could have taken my details.

What are the actual chances of me getting done for this, not sure if to expect anything in the post?

I’m not looking for sympathy I done wrong and it is what it is, I can live with 3 points or possibly a course as this would be my first ever offence after passing my test 3 years ago.

None.

Probably just giving you the heads up he was there in case you hadn't seen him and did something daft like shot off at warp factor 9 or something.
Haha, I suppose time will tell, I just find it weird that he could flash up his lights and then not do anything.

Like I said it is what it is, but to my understanding he could of easily pulled me it wasn’t unsafe to do so, I could of easily followed him.

And to be honest the way the lights are positioned I don’t think he even had a clear view of them lights, I’m not sure if they need sufficient evidence to prosecute you for an offence like that or simply a word of 2 officers is enough?
