"Mike Cox parked several vehicles, including a caravan and a McLaren, outside the Cardiff garage, claiming the company "failed to fix his car"".

Come on Mike Cox - McClaren owner, director of multiple businesses - you must be on PH, you're letting the team down, no cans of red bull / frozen sausages etc [insert other PH clichés].

(as an aside, great company name, JSM Contracting, lol jism]

Bought as 'nearly new'

Now 4 years old...

'problems from the outset' rolleyes

Bought a 'top of the range' 'all inclusive' warranty 6 weeks ago for £2500 yikes

'issue' not covered by said warranty hehe

If only he's come on here when the issue first arose we would have steered him in the right direction... judge

Fair play to him for kicking up a stink but it's a lesson about cars that develop faults... Give the dealer one chance and one chace only to fix and then reject - otherwise you will likely disappear down the same rabbit hole this chap has.
I suspect there is a long and sorry story leading to this point. These things are never clear cut and 8 year old Range Rovers are rarely lauded as the height of reliability.

Also I have a feeling that the actual warranty provider is unlikely to be the dealer - I did raise an eyebrow at the warranty cost. Wonder if he's bought the warranty, thinking it would cover a pre-existing fault.

I'm in favour of some direct action but the story says he's been hit with an injunction requiring him to move. I expect that will be accompanied with an order to pay their legal costs so it may prove to be an expensive exercise for him. He says he will just block another site in the dealer's network but all they will do is get another injunction, potentially accompanied by a penal notice. Breach that, and it's off to jail do not pass go...

In all fairness the spelling and grammar is good on the wrap.

Also, he has a point if they are saying his car is too old when the extended warranty say 10years/100k - at time of purchase.
Yes, I also noticed that the wrap was spelt correctly, even the appropriate "their" and proper use of apostrophes.

Warranties always have exclusions though. The proper approach would be to sue them for breach of contract. No idea if he is also doing this in the background but his direct approach is unlikely to get him any further.

I do feel for him. My boss has had an awful time with his Velar and it has just had a new engine, thankfully under warranty. Even so, it's really not good enough for what is supposed to be a premium brand.
