I've probably missed any previous conversations about this, but only really seen this kind of video activity recently, where someone films around police buildings and property seemingly to goad officers into confrontation, with a particular emphasis on getting them to over react or behave inappropriately.

Some "auditers" seem more provocative than others. None of them seem to have any particular interest in what they're filming, other than to get a reaction from the police or security services. Some of them seem to have a substantial online following on the usual social media channels.

Do you see them as performing valuable work in probing the powers and responses of the police towards the public, or just a plain nuisance? Personally it seems to be a waste of the time of both the "auditer" and the police themselves. That said, seeing different police personalities and approaches is surprisingly interesting.

My guess is that the people doing these videos have had run ins with the law in the past and/or negative experiences, and are in their own way, trying to exact revenge or at least what they see as pressure on what they assume is an organisation with too much power and authority. I'm sure there are more effective ways to campaign than winding up officers, fun as they may see it.

Isn’t AB the guy who owns a taxi firm in Oxford? Reda Bouadi-Clifton? I’m sure he stalked the comedian Paul Choudry a while back, I seem to remember him mentioning it during one of his routines.
Apparently, yes (Banbury). Think he got charged with filming around a court and had to pay a fine. Don’t think that one is on his channel- wonder why.

DJ Audits has been mentioned, watched some of his recently (purely out of curiosity). He’s very lucky he’s not been attacked so far. There’s one where he’s probing round a cement truck accident on the A50, and ends up winding up one of the crew to the point where he gets threatened.

Another one, him and another chap are walking round the perimeter of HMP Lowdham and are confronted by 4 security personnel, one of which has a German Shepherd. He could easily end up getting attacked in a misunderstanding or by winding someone up. Maybe that’s what he wants, so he can play the victim and get a payout. Very bizarre way to conduct your life and affairs though.

Filming in public may be legal, but filming police station fences, security gates, cameras, officers coming and going without blurring number plates, entry points etc could easily come under “hostile reconnaissance”, and therefore no-one should be shocked when anyone doing the above is challenged on it.

There’s also a bit of a difference between taking a photo that might have MI6 HQ in the background and slinking around police station car parks filming intercoms and barrier gates up close.

No I wouldn't. I'd be wondering why they didn't use Google maps, or at the very least be more covert about it. You'd have to be a stty terrorist to waltz around shoving a camera in people's faces if you plan on going back to bomb the place hehe
No, but someone could use the footage he's made.

If I was a nutjob that fancied carrying out an attack, I might find some of these videos useful- and that's the issue.
