Yesterday afternoon was off to Costco for beer and wine.

I followed a Mitsubishi EVO in jam sandwich colours with "ANPR INTERCEPT VEHICLE" on the back. In the rear window I could see a camera which obviously checks the car behind.

Now, this is the kind of policing which is to be backed 1000% - keeping uninsured and untaxed cars off the road.

So I pulled alongside and gave him a cheery thumbup

Officer seemed most taken aback...!! He gave me a cheesy grin and floored it.

Anyway, if you're on here, good on you. About time we kept uninsured and untaxed scum off the roads.

Why would that need to be such a quick car?!

I agree wholeheartedly about the idea behind it, but wondering why they'd need such a high performance car?
To catch people, presumably....

Oh hang on, I didn't put a lot of thought into that question did I (oops).

Oh yeah now I remember why I asked....do they have powers to stop, then, and use lights etc? Was it in full police livery as well as it's other markings too?

Yes Tony. Full livery with ANPR INTERCEPT VEHICLE on the boot.
