Headlight not working - Illegal?
Discussion
My driver's side headlight isn't working - must be the bulb. Only noticed it last night but I won't have a chance to get a new bulb in until this weekend. Is it illegal to drive with only one functioning headlight? If it makes any difference, the other two lights at the front still work (can't remember the name for them!).
Thanks
Thanks

Side lights spring to mind......Thanks
So will I need a specific bulb or are there universal ones available from petrol stations?

I think it is perfectly legal so long as you are not driving at night or near dusk. You don't need headlights in the daytime. (YET)
Providing:a defective lamp on a vehicle in use on a road between sunrise and sunset, if any such lamp, became defective during the journey which is in progress OR
Note: if arrangements have been made to remedy the defect with all reasonable expedition

Didn't take long to fit, the indicator bulb on my friends car went and he had to pay a mechanic £30 to fit a new one (that was just the labour!).
