That car should have been dug back up, sorted out, used or sold and the dead tt's ashes thrown back in with maybe an Ecklers catalogue for company! rolleyes

No time for these types who stash desirable cars away for no good reason. Why not pass it on to someone else. I have a beloved '87, that I anguish over who to will it to if I outlive my wife, God forbid.

The Corvette police should have intervened and swapped it for a Mustang II. laugh

Mustangs definitely rock, although I didn't quite get what the Mustang II was all about, the Cobras were nice though.

The C4 has a lot of fans, mostly in the US it seems and its got quite a raw edge that the newer ones don't seem to have like they're cruisers and the C4 is more of a sports car with its deep seated cockpit. Mine has all the simple performance tricks that you can do to an L98 and I added -ve camber and bit more +ve caster so it handles better. Great car if you like tinkering especially with that clamshell front end.

Cheers Mate.. cool These new Mustangs are cool.. I was never sure about the previous incarnation with the little windows in the rear pillars, but these current ones are nice looking cars especially when they are howling past me (I need to drive a bit faster as the Corvette is easily spotted from way off. biggrin) .

Its just the wheels and tyres on mine that creates the stance. I like solid wheels and old skool deep walled tyres. Being 63 and an American car fan for as long as I can remember, I tend to use the path less trodden as far as my cars go, (to coin a phrase) and like the look of old musclecars, but with the excellent economy, reliability and huge torque of the C4's TPI L98 motor. The later C4's have an LTI motor which is revvier than the L98, but they're all good and well priced right now, although never mentioned as "future classics". Either way, you get a lot for your money and they won't break your heart or bank!

Those wheels are BBS 10"x16" all round with 255/50x16 and 295/50x16. Those rears are really hard to locate these days, so I may in the future fit a 15" wheel to get the width and a deep sidewall again. I like to see wheelarches well filled.
