I've recently moved back to the UK and shipped my C6Z over with me and I'm having a lot of problems passing the IVA and MOT tests over here.

My car is running E85 at the moment and the MOT came back saying my car was too lean and the company I'm dealing with is saying I need to add cats to bring lambda readings back to normal. I do know if I add cats, those readings will get even leaner but the company doesn't seem to know much knowledge about modded cars.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a catted X-pipe from American Racing Headers but hoping anyone on here still have their stock manifolds and cats I could borrow (or rent) just to pass the IVA.

The car has cams/heads/2" ARH headers and a lot of other mods. Company did tell me while I was in the USA that they would make sure everything went smoothly and the car would pass the MOT even after me telling them it was a sports car and modded as such!

Any ideas or recommendations? I've been in the UK for 1 month so still searching for the right places around me. I'm in South East London near Bromley.

Thanks a lot Steve, that would definitely be a lot of work to do, you know how low these cars are! But thank you either way for the offer brother!

I've located literally the catted part of the x-pipe in the USA. Will get it shipped over to me and sent to Milton Keynes to get installed sometime in the next 2 weeks. I just hope it passes MOT this time!

Thanks for the replies guys!

I should be getting a catted X-pipe from ARH delivered tomorrow. I guess I'll be going up this week and get it sorted finally.. I haven't been able to drive or see the car since 2nd of August!

Not much longer now!

I managed to get GM to send me a build date for the Corvette and should hopefully have her back in my hands by the new year. Seriously feel like something is missing. I've been staring at my Forgestars for the past 3months in my cave, can't wait to get them on and see how they look

"too lean" is meaningless...

Exactly what was the gas analyser readings, all of them ?
+1 all this means is lambda is showing lean of stoich.

Air in exhaust, bad gas probe position etc. Cats wont do anything to this IMO.
Installed the catted X-pipe from American Racing Headers and it passed like a charm. Just don't want to spend an extra 600GBP buying a new set of tires as my Mickey Thompsons don't have a speed rating on them which won't pass IVA either.

So hanging on till the 1st of January where it won't need an IVA test done to it.

Sorry if its the wrong forum but got a question if anyone of you people would mind answering. "There are certain cars and models in USA that people drive but you cant get or buy the car in UK unless you import the vehice, why is that you cant buy models or the cars that are available in USA in the UK?"
Pretty much the same reason I've been so delayed.

The vehicles imported to the UK from any country have to be road legal here in every way.

I've had to drill holes in my carbon fiber fenders to add turn signals, and can't have my amber day time running lights on anymore which makes the vette look ugly I think.

Althought, nowadays the newer US spec vehicles are being altered from the factory to comply with all regulations needed in the UK, but you do pay a pretty penny to buy one from a dealer over here.

I've seen C7 Z06s in Dealerships here selling for gbp105,000, brand new in the USA they go for gbp65,000.
