Just fitted a new 2.0 Duratec to my 06 SVR. After 100 miles of gentle running she is breathing a bit of oil via the oil filler cap. Has anybody experienced similar and Is there an oil breather kit out there that anybody can recommend. Thanks
Thanks for your replies gents. Checked last night and there is a breather pipe attached although it simply vents to air rather than a breather tank. Could it be as simple as a new oil filler cap is required?
The car is an o6 SVR that was fitted new with a 2.3 Duratec. Ive just replaced the engine with a Raceline 2.0 Duratec. Its still wet sump. Hopefully the attached pic shows the plumbing?
Thanks for your comments. The car was sold to me as an SVR (pic attached) but as i haven't a clue about Caterham's i really wouldn't know - what makes an SVR different? The only leak is via the oil filler cap that i can see. - i'll try a new one. I'll also get a breather tank sorted!
