How to read MBE ECU / K-Series
Discussion
Hello Piston Heads,
Hoping to get some help from you guys in the UK.
I want to get connected with the MBE 967 on my caterham 1.8 K series from 2002.
So far i have dowmloaded the easimap software on my Laptop,
now i am thinking abot buying a suitable diagnostic cable to get into the ECU.
The car has fitted a 16 way "OBD" port, as you guys maybe know there was no OBD in caterham K Series cars at all.
This connector is wired on 5 Pins, wire colors are white/blue , white/yellow, black, white and purple/blue.
Finally it should be noted that my laptop has only USB ports.
Regards
Michael

Hi Red Seven,
no, there is no 9 Pin serial connector installed anywhere in the car, just this "OBD" thing.
Can you please tell me the pins of the ecu loom wich i must connect the serial plug wires to!
Am i right, do i have to solder the extra wires parallel to the loom and nothing else like resistors?
