Hello

I have just placed a deposit on a Superlight. It is fitted with the Apollo oil/air seperator tank. The elbow from the small breather hose on the top of the tank going into the cam carrier/cylinder head appears to be loose. Is the hole in the cam carrier/cylinder head tapped (threaded) or does the elbow go through a plain hole with a nut inside and outside? I'm hoping it is the latter and the thread (if there is one) isn't stripped.

Does anyone have the fitting instructions with some pictures that they could scan and email?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

At least it's not a stripped thread. I'll try and do it when I pick it up.

I don't suppose you know if you need a new gasket to do the job....

Thanks again.

Can you recommend a good K series engine manual? I'm going to have to pick one up along with a build manual for the car.

I don't suppose that you have the torque for the cam cover bolts to hand before I have to go to Halfords for a quick look....?

Regards

I don't think the nut has come off, the elbow would pull out of the cam carrier cover if it had. It is loose (1 mm or so of axial float) but has been that way since the car was bought from Caterham Midlands two years ago. The present owner said that it has always had a slight weep from the elbow since he bought it and it is a factory built car as well....

Picked it up and I tightened the elbow/nut no problem. The hardest part was getting the plug lead on number 4 off.

Thanks
