2008 petrol 1.6 turbo oil usage?

Hey,

I’m looking for a cheap car to knock about in over the winter and an Astra with the 1.6 turbo engine has popped up local and got my interest! But in the advert it says it’s using oil, there’s no smoke visible and no obvious leaks, so what I’m trying to find out if is this is normal for these engines? He doesn’t mention how much oil it’s using, but must be enough to warrant him to mention it?
