Greetings all! Came across your site on Google. Moving permenantly over to Scotland this fall (family reasons) from Massachusetts and am looking to ship over my two Mustangs.

First is my '66 convertable. This gets driven mostly during warmer months and garaged during the winter. I do not wish to part w/ it, however!

Second is my daily driver, an '87 5.0 5-speed (w/ ALL the offered options). I bought this baby of the original first owner in '97 who obviously took exceptionally good care of it! Have all dealer paperwork and the complete service history. I've continued in the tradition of the first owner. So it still looks as close to new as possible. The only aftermarket work I did was a sound system update done in '99. New Sony Minidisc head unit and new speakers (including dual 12" subs in a custom enclosure in the trunk).

Since the resale value isn't as much as I'd like, I'll take it w/ me as well. After all, I know the "feel" of the car like the back of my hand.

Would there be any SVA requirements for either of these cars seeing as how they're both over 10 years old? Also, If I remember correctly, the FM radio layout is different over there. So those who've brought Mustangs over, is a head-unit change required to properly receive stations?

BTW: My '66 looks similar to these:

Heya Mike, thanx for the info. Since posting, I actually sold the '87 5.0 for a decent price. Just a week ago I came across a new beast. I'm now the owner of a black-beauty 2001 Cobra SVT Convertable (manual, 4.6L V8, loaded!). Saw it in a free used car dealer ad book; one call and a test drive and I just had to have it! So now I will have to go through the SVA. Added benefit of the Cobra is that the taillights w/ the amber directionals are factory installed! BTW: Think when I get settled, y'all will have to invite me to one of your gettogethers.
