So, what do we think then?

Only got an hour in so far but I have finished it many times on the PS3 hehe

I'm loving it. It looks fantastic, though I haven't figured out whether I prefer it locked to 30fps or not. The framerate does seem to slightly change the "feel" of the game. Either way, it's a thumbup from me.

One of the reasons I really liked this game; I love the "do whatever it takes" aspects of a really tough survival games but when you can turn yourself into an unstoppable tank halfway through it loses it's appeal a bit (here's looking at you Far Cry 3). I'll admit the gameplay was linear at times (but not as bad as Tomb Raider or Dead Island) but never once did I get bored (unlike Bioshock Infinite and Dishonoured). The way it tells it's story is one of its best attributes; progressive but melancholic. Fair to say its one of my all time favourite in 20 years of playing games.
This pretty much nails it for me. I like how it is possible replay the game a second time and continue to upgrade, rather than it being too easy. It is only really towards the end of the second play through (or maybe the first half of the third if you aren't particularly fastidious with your spare part scavenging!) that you really become a force to be reckoned with.

Playing through it this time and it still blows me away. I imagine it will the next time I play through it too biggrin

I haven't finished the ps4 version yet so I don't really know, to be honest.

On the ps3 version I think it only did it if you were playing below hard difficulty and I'm not sure it did it if you changed difficulty for the next play through. It's been a while since I finished playing the ps3 version.

Eta: it seems new game plus (which is when you start with your progress from the last game) can only be used when playing on the same difficulty or lower with the ps3 version. Still not sure on ps4. I tried hehe
