I did, it was a decent RTS. Didn't really capture the spirit of the table top game though. You could have reskinned it and not alerted the mechanics in any way and it would still be viable

Not just free but also on massively reduced price. They have also released mtw (the original) and made it work on modern systems.
Have bought it and it is just as much fun as I remember.

Unfortunately it looks like they are slicing the game up with preorder dlc and dlc races. Might be one to wait for the steam sale with everything included.
