Well with over 2500 posts from the 2008 season, it's about time we started a new topic.

Series 1 - Formula BMW mod on UK circuits. (January to March)

Points System: 1st = 20, 2nd = 15, 3rd = 12, 4th = 10, 5th = 8, 6th = 6, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2 & 10th = 1. Pole Position = 1 & Fastest Lap = 1

http://www.mercia.biz/mj/2009%20Season/PH%20FBMW%2...

Racing will be on Sunday evenings and we will continue with the two sprint race format, with the second race a reverse grid of race 1 finishing positions.

So pick your car, and get some practice in - if it is half as good as the trial race at Donington it's going to be the best series yet.

If your new to rFactor and fancy joining some close clean racing, drop me a PM.

Series 2 will be the Touring Car Legends Mod ( April to June)

Points System: 1st = 15, 2nd = 12, 3rd = 10, 4th = 8, 5th = 6, 6th = 5, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2 & 10th = 1. Pole Position = 1, Leading a Lap = 1 & Fastest Lap = 1

Racing will be on Sunday evenings and we will change to three sprint race format, with the second and third race a reverse grid of the previous finishing positions.

http://www.mercia.biz/mj/2009%20Season/PH%20TCL%20...

Series 3 will be the CGST Wold Sportscar Championship ( August to October)

Points System: 1st = 20, 2nd = 15, 3rd = 12, 4th = 10, 5th = 8, 6th = 6, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2 & 10th = 1. Pole Position = 1, Leading a Lap = 1 & Fastest Lap = 1

Racing will be on Sunday evenings and we will revert back to a two race format, with the second race a reverse grid of the previous finishing positions.

http://www.mercia.biz/mj/2009%20Season/PH%20CGST%2...

Allowed Cars:
P3000 class
Alfa Tipo 33
Ferrari 312p
Healey
Matra MS650
Porsche 908-2 (not the 908-3)

S5000 class
Lola T70
Ford GT40

Perhaps a special at the end using the 917's

Series 4 will be the PCC GB 2009 Mod on UK traks( October to December)

Points System: 1st = 10, 2nd = 8, 3rd = 6, 4th = 5, 5th = 4, 6th = 3, 7th = 2, 8th = 1. Pole Position = 1, Leading a Lap = 1 & Fastest Lap = 1

Racing will be on Sunday evenings and a two race format, the second race a reverse grid of the previous finishing positions.

Sucess Ballast of 100kg, 85kg and 70kg added to race 2 for vehicles finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectivly in race 1.

Server is upgraded to 16 slots now, can be increased if needed.

As for online chat, pretty sure I can get our server provider to arrange something for us, in fact I think the facility is already there if we want it - I'll ask the question.

Oh and welcome Zedman, drop me a PM and I'll bring you up to speed on things.

Update

Confirmed - Teamspeak2 is free, we need to pay for Ventrilo

Teamspeak IP is 195.74.52.108:8780.

I'll set-up the account with a name of "Pistonheads" and the same password as the server. Will be ready for Sunday.

Link to the Teamspeak software. Think both client files are required.

ok as a total newbie i cannot pm for 24 hours so i'll drop a line as soon as the block is lifted, in the process of getting the tracks i dont already have.

Teamspeak has always been pretty good on bandwidth in my past experience ventrillo does seem to suck up a little more. and as you say does cost.

i love this track, this is gonna be a good race!! is it the usual time of 8pm now?
8PM is the usual time, however when it conflicts with Top Gear's new series, we may switch to 9pm. Not sure if it will affect this series though.

Looking like we are going to have a regular 16 racers this series. Mental note for those finishing in the top three, please make an effort to note down the finish order so that we can get race 2 set up without too much fuss.

I'll take the #1 car please smile

I managed 52.6 in a practice race - still not quite FWD's pace though.
First go and on lap seven managed a scruffy 52.6 - not too much more left though

I've just got myself a copy of rFactor and a G25 for Christmas and i'm liking it! If there is room for one more I'd love to join? Sadly I can't commit to racing every week due to a crappy chift pattern but I'd love to join in when I can?

Hi Coogy, drop me a PM with your usual email address and I'll send you some info.

I'd suggest getting some practice in using the BMW's and maybe go online and race with real people in the public servers - racing the AI is very different to racing fellow petrolheads.

Welcome to the PH rFactor team.
