After a complete dearth of entries last month - and a completely hollow victory, I've opted to set a much tighter brief for the March Competition.

The brief is 'into the Sun' by which I mean shots taken with your subject between you and the sun. Expecting to see lots of nice rim lighting, translucent surfaces glowing etc. (if there are any bloomin entries!)

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Good Luck!

Craig

And it's only the middle of the month.

Great stuff guys, keep it up!

Lot's of Great entries this month, much impreoved on the last few months! Well done all that contibuted.

I've chosen Ray's image from both a technical and aesthetic point of view. It can be tough to control the exposure ans flare when shooting into the sun, and the use of the fresnel reflective quality of the snow to tie the image together is great.

so.... Well done Ray!

You're my pic for the March Comp winner.

Goodluck with the next month's topic.

Craig.
