Took some excellent "on-safari" shots with my new toy recently in Kenya.
A question - with my previous non-SLR digital cameras, I could "resize" existing shots in the camera and save them.
Is the 300D unable to do this? There is nothing in the handbook on the subject and I have tried playing around with the menus on the camera but nothing.
Is it me???

Sorry all - maybe I should have been clearer. By resizing, I meant zooming in on part of an existing photo in playback mode and then saving the "zoomed in" piccie.
I have a Sony V1 which is excellent at doing this. My wife's cheapo CoolPix Nikon also does it.
Seems strange that the 300D cannot do it.

Thanks to all for your responses.

1. I used a 300mm telephoto lens in Kenya.
2. On the Sony, I always saved the original image as well.
3. I have enrolled on a Photoshop course at my local adult education centre starting next week as I now agree that this way is the best
4. PHers are the best form of information and advice

Thanks guys.
