Nikon D3 vs. D3s

Morning,
I'm in the market for a new SLR body to replace the venerable D2X I used to have, I cant justify going mental and getting a D4/D4s so I'm looking to go used again and found that there's quite a disparity between the D3 and D3s prices
I guess I'm asking if anyone here can confirm if a used D3s is worth twice as much as a used D3? as a wildcard, I've also noticed the D750 is within budget (Not really interested in a D800 as I've owned one already)

Slightly O/T but I have D2X, D3 and D800 and the D3 'res quality wise' is about half way between the other two. It does of course have most of the low light and full frame benefits of the D800.

D750 is a bit consumery (if thats a word
) and will feel tiny & toy-like compared to a D3Or save even more money and get a decent secondhand D700...
I typed out a post earlier and never bothered, but it pretty much said buy a D700 as well. I absolutely adore mine and they can be picked up used for around £600.00 now.
The D750 does very much interest me, but not at it's current price. I don't work cameras very hard but the noise performance of the thing seems to be truly staggering. It looks like 4 stops for free making low-light stuff an absolute breeze.
I'll probably sell my D7000 when the D750 comes down in price, and go with two FX bodies.

Yes I did see that mentioned in a couple of reviews and I noticed that Nikon were fixing the problem. Of course we've been here before with D600 problems so they aren't doing themselves any favours.GetCarter said:
You can also drop it from 30 feet and pick it up and continue to use it. 
I know a guy who is an ex-army tog, did 18months in Afghanistan with his (well the MOD's) D3 they looked like they had been shot blasted, but still worked perfectly, went through a lot of UV filters though...Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
