March Photographic Competition
Discussion
The theme for the March competition is:
Holidays
Let's see those favourite shots from your holidays, epitomising what it's like at that place, be it a rainy day at Clacton, a blizzard on the pistes or a scorcher in the Maldives.
Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like (unless the mods step in). PH doesn't seem to squash pictures like it used to and it's not like we have hundreds of entries.

Some great entries this month, I really enjoyed looking through them. So difficult to judge so I'm concentrating on the holiday aspect of the image rather than outright image quality.
In 3rd place, neilski for the bike in Vietnam. My sort of holiday (if you swap the bicycle for one with a motor )
In 2nd place, maxdb for the evening shot. Not technically great but really evocative of my own childhood holidays.
And in 1st place, DailyHack for the Caddy roadtrip and summing up travel, fun and nostalgia while on holiday.
Congrats DailyHack, over to you for April.
