May Photographic Competition
Discussion
The theme for the May competition is:
Blue
Basically, entries can be of pretty much anything, as long as there is a strong connection to "blue".
This could be blue sky, blue cars, blue clothes, or even someone feeling blue (or playing the blues)!
This is a pretty wide remit, so I'm hoping there will be quite a few entries.
Good luck everyone.
Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like (unless the mods step in). PH doesn't seem to squash pictures like it used to and it's not like we have hundreds of entries.

Just a quick note firstly to say a big thanks to everyone who has posted - there are some great entries this month.
Due to some personal issues, I am unable to put in sufficient time today to decide on the winner, but I assure you all, will post early tomorrow with the result. Many thanks, and apologies for the delay in announcing the winner.

As previously mentioned, I apologise for the delay in posting the results.
There were some great entries this month (many would be potential winners normally), and it's good to see a lot of them too.
I really liked R1 Dave's daughter's eyes, and also am at a loss as to what Hub's abstract image is?
SgtBrebatov's leaning water tower was another strong contender.
As always, it's a personal decision, but my favourites are:
In 3rd place, singlecoil's Irises - the lighting is really extremely good.
For me, it's the fact that you can't see his face, and the little girl in the corner really makes the image.

In 2nd place, RDMcG's Internment camp. There had to be at least one of the top 3 with the blue sky, and this was a really nice image.RDMcG said:

And finally, the winner for this month is eein's tartan guy in a trailer. For me, it's the fact that you can't see his face, and the little girl in the corner really makes the image.
