July Photographic Competition - "Liquid"
Discussion
The theme for the June competition is:
"Liquid"
Entries can be anything associated with liquid, so hopefully a wide remit, and feel free to interpret this as you like.
This would include landscapes with water, still-lifes, photos of drinks (or people enjoying a drink), or even photos with a liquid "feel" to them.
Good luck everyone.
Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

I was on a trip to Scotland when I read the July competition...thought I'd go for something new instead of pulling something out of old shots.
My family got sick of hearing me shout 'LIQUID!' every time we went past a stream
Excellent - like these - can you select your favourite as your entry please (as one entry per person)? My family got sick of hearing me shout 'LIQUID!' every time we went past a stream

Do we get extra points for a photo taken this month?
As part of the reason for the monthly competition is to encourage people to go out and take photos, certainly ones taken this month will be viewed favourably! Some excellent entries so far, and it's good to see a fair number.
There are still a couple of weeks before the end of the month, so please do go out and see what you can shoot.
Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting the results up.
Secondly a big well done to all those who entered. There were many excellent entries, and it's been difficult trying to decide on an overall winner, not least because of the variety of approaches to the subject.
A couple of the ones that nearly made it include:
Vintage Racer's Bee Fly - having done a bit of macro, I know how technically difficult it would have been to get any sort of image of this.
S100HP's dog taken on the phone - very nice, and I hope you pop in here again with more entries.
LaSource's selection (and also Chandrew's entry) - great to see people going out to take new photos for the monthly comp!
After a LOT of looking through them all many times (and also asking Mrs C&C for her thoughts), I've come to a decision on the top 3.
So, in 3rd place, a very striking image that is very "liquid".

And the winner this month, as I really liked the feeling this one gives of the place being very humid, is:neilski said:
