The theme for the November competition is.....

"power"

As always you can be as flexible as desired to interpret this, it could be a piece of machinery that is powerful, or something more personal such as a person or item that gives a feeling of power...

It would be interesting/helpful to see a note indicating what camera, lens, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture were used, and also any thoughts on why/how you approached the taking of the photograph..

Good luck everyone.

Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Thanks all for the entries for November, quite a mix of thoughts on the theme of 'power'

For me there was one image that stood out as soon as I saw it - this image almost conveys
the ground shaking noise and power of a top fuel dragster coming out the blocks...
