This month's photo competition is on the theme 'Lines'

That should be open enough for people who are stuck at home and for those who can get out and about.

Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please only get out with your gear if you have safe opportunity etc.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
you can only submit one, and only one, photo.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

This was the exact theme we had in March. Just saying....

March Photo competition - 'Lines'
Whoops, I never even noticed that one at the time! I checked the wiki to avoid repeats too but it hadn't been updated since January.

Good to see quite a variety of different interpretations on the theme! I'll have a closer look and pick the winners this evening after work. smile

Time for the results...

3rd... toasty

Very characterful portrait, and an interesting take on the theme that never even occurred to me.

2nd... rst99

Because it does funny things to your eyes... hehe The irregularity of the lower join is what really makes it IMO, breaking the pattern and adding interest.

And this months winner... DailyHack

I love this one, fantastic composition - the juxtaposition of the railway lines, road markings and bridge rails really draws the eye into the image.
