Now that flowers are starting to bloom and the days are drawing out 'we' can get out snapping some more stuff (well, I know I will be).

I popped out into the garden on Thursday to see what I could find in the way of flowers (fancied toying with the macro which I hardly ever use) and came back with a few shots.

Not brilliant but it's not REALLY Summer yet.

Feel free to post some of your favourite Spring/Summer snaps here

I was suprised with that shot actually, it's my pick of the bunch.

I was playing with the macro (mine's not that brill) took about 10 pics of that same flower in the hope that one would not be blurred (there were about 3 that weren't), chose the best one and to do the blur I put it into photoshop, selected everything but the flower and did a radial zoom blur.

Cheating but it looks good

I apologise for misleading you dear boy

The lakes look lovely Stefan, really picturesque, would love to take the Westy up there sometime (Scotland's on the list too).

Some good flower shots too, especially the lillies, how did you take ones like:

I can't make it out

That was a Begonia (had to ask my father for that ), IIRC all i did was stick the camera under the plant and hit the shoot button. That will have been with my old Fuji A202 as well - no control over what it does, just point and shoot and hope for the best.

Aaah, what a perculiar picture, it looked as if the camera was underwater and taking a picture of the bottom of a lilly on the surface of a pond, or that's what it looked like to me

When do you plan to head to Lakes in the Westie? I might join you as I plan to head back in a couple of weeks... Scotland is on my list as well once I get a tent and can stay overnight.

Not a clue to be honest mate, the Westy still isn't finished and my health isn't brilliant at the moment. Won't be for a while, although I may consider popping up there when we've got the Land Rover.

I'd love to go to Scotland, especially to do the route on Steve Carter's website

Nice colours, it's a shame you can see the threads on the leaves That would make a stunning picture with the light on real leaves.

My Mum wasn't best pleased when I showed her the first one of my pictures and told her "this is a pic of those fake flowers in the pot downstairs"

OOPS, they WERE real.
