Apologies if this is a 'numpty' question but i am money permitting looking to source some additional wheels and I'm having trouble understanding what the actual size of the standard S Series wheels are? Ive checked the original tech spec which states 15x 7J with PCD of 4/108 and offset of 25mm.. but some of the other available tech specs show 6.5J and 6J and mention no offset..???

Also i've read 16 and 17 inch wheels work fine?? I'm guessing with lower profile thinner tyres to avoid wheel arch rubbing?? ut are they actually??

Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated as i am thoroughly confused now...

Cheers R

I presume you realise the 7J bit is the width of the rim.
Yes mate... i'm assuming that 6.5J will work too?? By the way do you know what the J means??

Yep 25 et

No idea on max/min you'd get away with but my Minilite look-a-likes are 0 et and fit ok. I do have some thin spacers on the front, I think coz my bigger calipers were catching the balance weights (probably could have moved the weights in or out a bit?)

Thanks mate, so basically im looking at anything 15/16 7J 4x108 and offset ideally around 25mm....??

Maybe we should club together and buy one of the S series on ebay spares or repair ( around £2500 each car) and strip them for the parts we each want.

That's not as crazy and idea as it sounds... my wheels are the original 88 alloys, there in good shape but need some attention, but just not my taste.. I prefer the newer style.. in the tech spec they call them PLUS alloys.. but yes i'd keep it if i were you as there rare and if you ding one badly then at least you've one to replace it with ;-)
