On the way back from Zolder the fan relay gave up, when I took it out it had a burnt terminal, I replaced it and the replacement has done the same, I removed the fuse box to find the live supply wire had burnt the insulation back by about an inch, I have had to remove that part of the box and had to cut it back to good wire then crimp on new connectors, this means the relay is plugged straight into the loom now, is this ok or should I try to get another relay holder?
That’s what I am going to do I think, the connectors are insulated anyway. Although Europa sell a relay holder, the problem is that if I do get a holder I’ll need to extend the wires giving more chance of there being problems.
