As you guys are always forward with your suggestions then lets see what you've got to say on this one....

Have booked to go to Folembray in the S. Great you think, well yeh.....

My friend Gary is coming with me to share my car as he loves driving on track. He owns a very nice 4.2 Cerberra which he is unable to drive on the public highway currently.

I have driven this Cerberra around the GP circuit at Donington and it was great fun.

This is the dilemna...

Gary has offered to take his car, the Cerberra. This would mean I would have to drive Gary's Cerberra to and from Folembray and share the track time with him in the Cerberra instead of my S.

Insurance would cover me during the drive over and the track aswell.

What would you take ??

1 - Your own car and let a friend drive it on track
2 - Take your friends car and drive in on track

Suggestions, choices etc etc

Cheers

Mark

I will be taking mine on track the weekend after next at Hethel and then probably again in September somewhere.

Its an interesting point about the Cerberra being too much of a beast for Folembray as a couple of people have said that the circuit really suits the S.

Still thinking .....

You lot make my car sound like a go kart, rivalling Pete H for supremacy !!

The roof bit is a real stickler though.... It does have air con but that's not the same as roof down motoring on the continent....

The whole bonnet will have been resprayed on mine aswell at the end of this month to sort the stone chips etc..I might scratch it....

Arse, begger, feck and doodle doooo !!!

I need a or 3

Over severall last night with a few friends I mused over the situation....

As the evening went from to to I was made less and more able to make a decision.........

It would only be fair to let Gary know of my decision before everyone else and so ..... Gary speak to you this evening if I don't get stuck at the amateur pole dancing evening too early ...May have to be Friday...

Anyone else in Edinburgh tonight ?

What most people suggest is an airfield day first where you kind find the limits of your car without fear of hitting anything at all...

I have never done one though and ony done a couple of trackdays.

I am thinking about doing Oulton Park as this is one of my favourite circuits to watch motorsprt at. Apparently it is great fun to drive. It is not a particularly dangerous circuit IMHO.

It would be good to get the twins together for a track day

Thats just what I was thinking.. although I'll be a few laps behind you ...

No you won't be. Mines just set up a bit stiffer than yours and it would a fun comparison to drive each of them back to back which you would be more than welcome to do..

It would be a laugh wouldn't it !

I'm away with car to France in both September and October so I would be looking at November if mine hasn't been sold...then maybe I would have the monsta V8 !

We need to do it before this twin is sold and sort the history bits out aswell...
