Ignition components - preferred suppliers
Discussion
Morning all, I want to obtain a full set of ignition components to replace the current parts of unknown age.
I have looked at the information on the 'Useful Links' page but it doesn't mention where to obtain 'reliable' parts from and, from my previous experience with the Chim, there are a lot of dodgy copies about!
Burton Power, for example, appear to stock all the parts but are they any good??
While I'm asking, what about the sensors such as TPS, etc.; where are you buying these from?
Many thanks for your help, Peter

Andrew Page was a Northern chain, who bought Camberley Auto Factors when they were in trouble a few years back in order to expand into the Southerm counties, but who have recently been in trouble themselves and were bought out by Euro Car Parts.
ECP are keeping them all going at the moment but it is widely expected that they will close certain branches where there is duplication within an area. Hence your branch of Andrew Page may disappear even if the brand doesn't itself, so from a warranty perspective I personally would rather buy from the MoCo; ECP, who also are a Bosch stockist. You may need to specify brand preference because they also sell 'budget' lines. Just sayin'.
Even better if ECP are stocking these parts now as I have an account with them! I will check them out but I better not mention 'it's for a TVR' as I'll wager they haven't a clue!! Sorry to ask another ignition related question under this topic but didn't want to start another 'new' topic, however, what is the general opinion regarding the removal of the metal shroud around the distributor cap and the suppressor extensions between the dizzy connections and HT leads?
Would like to remove the old Ford (unnecessary?) connections in the ignition system to eliminate any extraneous shorting out but are they 'important' other than to prevent AM radio interference?
Thanks, P
