Happy Monday folks,

I recently collected a Series 2 with missing bumper trim (passenger), as per the following link.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=15...

I've searched high and low and asked the question to most specialists.

Has anyone been successful in finding this part available?

Thanks..

This one crops up regularly, despite many suggestions of boat fenders etc. the actual profile has not, to the best of my knowledge, been found.

A bit of searching will find you various "close but no cigar" suggestions wink

One to get you started.......... Clicky

If you scroll down to my photo you'll see it is not a simple D section, but that's not to say something else wouldn't do the job scratchchin

We're on a roll now, clicky again

Thanks for the follow up.

I'll either keep an eye on a car breaking or try the Polymax 6009690.

I may have the originals from mine - removed and smoothed

Hi there,

I'm in Surrey/Hampshire, however I'd gladly arrange collection or drive to you if not too far?

  • Edit, I see you're quite a distance. I'll be happy to arrange collection if you have them spare - please let me know cost if they're available. I'm after the passenger side but will take both if it's easier for you.
Many thanks..

Hi there,

Did you manage to find an original passenger rubber extrusion?

Many thanks.

Great thanks.

I'll take the passenger side please if possible? I can ping funds via PayPal or direct transfer straight away? If you'd rather I take both, I can do.

My e-mail is king.robin@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks..

Glad this thread has taken a positive turn.

Mick supplied me his used pair, though I may still opt for new for spare.

Has anyone got any pointers how to fit the thing? I vaguely recall a post about self tapping screws from the inside out?

Many thanks..
