Who are the v8 gurus

Im not happy with the way my V8 is running, it seems very lumpy and doesnt seem to be running right. Every now and then it suffers idle problems too.

Who can i take it to and get it resolved? i'm fed up with the head scratchers that seem to thin trial and error is the way forward!
