Hi All you S owners

Popped over from the Chim Forum as I think the early Chim has the same rear hub carrier as the V8S so posted on here in case you can help.

Changing the rear wheel bearings, the O/S is the problem one, noticed it was noisy on the way back from Spa and have stripped it down ready to fit a new set of bearings but the bearing carrier is shot, it looks like the bearing outer race has been turning in the carrier.

TVR Parts have 2 different types listed "TVR D0102 This part is only for a vehicle fitted with "500" brakes which is all 5 litre cars and all Chimaera and Griffiths cars after 1997. Non "500" and pre '97 cars will need part No TVR D0056".

Unfortunately mines an earlier car and they do not have D0056 in stock and won't be getting any in the foreseeable future!

Anybody know if a Ford part fits?

Majority of Sierra's were drum brake, think you'll need an XR4i?

Could be these................ clicky

Thinking about it, I have a pair somewhere? They were from a Griffith with solid rear discs (as opposed to vented) would that be the right one, a non-500?

Let me know if interested and I'll sort them out, do something a bit better price wise than our friend on Ebay... wink
