Hi there,

Wheels are of course a personal taste thing, however i'm just wondering what options the car came with from the factory. I've seen plenty of pics with the dished OZ Polished 8 Spokes and the optional OZ Split Rims, however lots of cars/pics seen running the 5 Spoke Chimaera Wheels, were these an option or is it just an easy swap/upgrade?

OZ Splits look mega. What's the going rate for a set these days and do they come up for sale often?

Great triple S pic. wink

Seems logical on the Chimaera Wheels I suppose and they are a nice easy wheel to take care of.

16"/15" Staggered OZ Splits look the business. I think as a weekend and summer cruiser then cleaning shouldn't be too bad. I have splits on one of my cars and looking after them is a breeze once you have some decent wheel wax on them.

OZ 8 Spokes are a classic and look especially good due to the dish.

Factory tyre sizes will be fitted.

Will need to check the 16"/15" Split Rim tyre sizes but I would have thought that the rear tyre would be a size or two wider with a lower profile to counteract the increased size.

Big fan of the 8 Spoke OZ's but the Splits are just a cut above IMO... They look awesome. wink

eek Not a fan of 18" Spiders and a little too large for the S IMO. Carlos Fandango springs to mind... wink

Aye, Imola's are relatively cheap and in fairness aren't a bad looking wheel. I'm still smitten by the OZ Splits though... smokin

Funny you should mention that. A set of Griffith 16"/15" OZ Splits purchased this week. Full refurbish to follow. wink

I'm a bit of a wheel & tyre junkie so i'm sure i'll come up with the correct profile for the rears whilst maintaining its normal width. Will just have to step the profile down a notch or two. Alternatively I know where I can pick up a couple of spare 15's for a square set all round. wink

205/60/15 Front & 225/50/16 Rears is the way to go on a staggered setup. wink

I run the Oz on 205/60/15 all round and on the splits I run 205/50/16 on the front and 225/50/16 on the rear.

The car gives a more comfortable ride on the Oz, its a little harsher on the Splits, i don't have any issues with either set.
Exactly the sizes I quoted a few posts ago. wink
