MGF seat in an S2?

Evening everyone,

Just wondered if anyone has attempted to fit Rover MGF seats into an S2? If they have, how did it go?

They have a nice classic look and thought they might look good. My seats are shot to pieces and it seems very hard to find black leather replacements.

Had a look on google for rough prices for re-trimming and seems more expensive than getting MGF seats which seem slightly cheaper than MX5 ones, plus more chance of getting black leather. I’m not a fan of those tombstone MX5 ones, prefer the ones with the separate headrest as they look almost identical to the standard ones.

I’d prefer to keep the originals, but value for money is what’s made me ask the question lol.

By the sounds of things no one has tried the MGF ones. I might have to find the dimensions and then take it from there
