HI Guys - having done my mirror mounts and also just got my window working again (which had decided to stop working over winter) - it got me thinking about that crappy long motor screw and whether anyone has developed a neat solution to making it wind out on a sensible trajectory rather than risk mashing wires etc and knocking about in the hole. I've got a load of pipe insulation in there in the bottom of the door all crumbled. Is that what people tend to use?

Hi Mike - part way down - probably about 1.5 ft - rest is unsheathed,so when it winds down the screw winder is a law to itself as to where it goes..... any ideas? I assume yours covers it, even when fully wound down?

The bits of crispy sponge in the bottom of the door, is telling me thats probably what most have to stop it going wayward! I'll have another think.. Pete
