I've been waiting for the right chance to pop up to get another tvr. over the years I've had 2 chims 2 cerbs and a 3000m.

( if my first carb is about I want it back)

but an 88 s2 popped up for sale on my doorstep not seen the light of day in 5 or more years and well I just had to save it. so the deal was done and I just need to pick her up this week. this is the only pic at the min

shes in remarkably good nick body and chassis wise so I'm hopeful for a good service and an mot and go from there.

so today's update.

when I got the car the exhaust manifolds were in the boot. i was told they came off for repairs and skimming of the faces.

battered them back on (not much fun) only to find that the down pipes are sitting so low that they are on the floor.

turns out the lower part of the manifold was replaced with much longer pipes.

it also turns out that despite being skimmed and new gaskets they still blow.

I used to take the cerb to that show before the saxo chav crew spoilt it for the everyone.

I'm not sure on the original name of the colour.

the s2 came from around hear to so could have been the same one.

once it's back in the road the chassis will get a good clean up and paint. it's a bit grubby but solid.

right then.

the clutch now works and she drove under her own power for a almost 100 yards!!!!!!

before the fuel pump seized and she conked out at the bottom of the hill.

oh well best order a pump then
