Going from distributor to crank trigger and coil pack S3/V6
Discussion
Hi,
Is there anyone here that has installed a crank trigger and coil pack to replace the original distributor/coil on a 2.9L V6?
If so, how did you deal with the original distributor that is no longer needed. I understand that it cannot be taken out and blocked off as it drives the oil pump. Is that correct?
I'm installing an Emerald K6 system (in a 1990 S3C) and it coms with these features so I thought I might as well use them.
Engine is going to be supercharged in the next step, hence the ECU upgrade.
All input much appreciated
Kind regards
