I tracked a rough running problem to a gummed up WUR, which I rebuilt using a kit from Oz after making sure I had 24 ohms resistance and a decent 12v feed.

When I stripped it, the casing (where it contacts the WUR mounting plate) was heavily corroded (both Ally surfaces). I'd like to try to avoid future corrosion, but can anyone recommend how I do that, if at all please?

Given that it needs to heat up with the engine I'm not sure if a coating of dielectric grease or similar would be a good idea.

That's an interesting thought. I'll have a read up thanks.

I ended up trying heat sink paste - rated to 200 degrees and designed for aluminium computer components. Probably not necessary but thought I would experiment. Car runs great now with the rebuild Warm Up Regulator.

The fine mesh was blocked and the diaphragm ripped, plus corrosion in and on the base of the unit couldn't have been helping much.
