Speedo sender

My speedo has to go to Speedy Cables to be rebuilt.

They tell me they'll need the sender as well, to calibrate the speedo.

Please, does anyone here have a spare sender they could lend or sell me, to blank off the hole in the 'box, so I won't be off the road for the "8 to 10 weeks" they say it's going to take take?

The car's an S3C, with an ordinary Type 9 'box as far as I can tell.

For interest, I'm using a worn-out smartphone with "GPS Test Plus" app as a perfectly good speedo at the moment.

Thanks: never seen the blanking plug before. A bit concerned about what holds it in? Just the o-ring fit?
I'll probably use Hylomar rather than Loctite.

Thanks, Mike. Any suggestions how to plug my hole temporarily?
Don't forget I'm holding on to that timing cover for you (tho' it's not eating any meat where it is............).
