Some times but the MGA is a lovely car to drive below 70mph. MPG about the same surprisingly eg. 22mpg

It was time for a change and the little MGA came up at a price I couldn't pass up. It's a car I've always loved but never though I'd be able to own.

The V8S is a wonderful GT car which you really only come to appreciate when you do a EuroTour. It will drone along effortlessly on autoroutes for hour after hour at a steady 80mph with plenty of reserve for overtaking and only needing to stop for petrol (every 220 miles in my case). Then when you get to the mountains the torque just eats up the twisty roads and hairpins using just 2nd & 3rd. Yes it can be driven faster but I was never brave enough laugh

Best to assume you'll never get to grips with it, or push your luck, because it will end in tears. smile

I'm on the look out for a "spares or repair" one to pull apart and see how it works. Just missed one on eBay last week banghead.

PS - caught myself stroking the curves again this morning laugh
