Petrol tank cradle joy
Discussion
Had a stroke of luck the other day. There I was, curing a weeping sender unit seal and I noticed that my petrol tank cradle had seen better days.
To cut a long story short, I found myself chatting to the parts guy at TVR in Blackpool,(Mike I think his name is.....) I bought a brand new tank cradle off him for £35 + vat or so, and then spent the rest of the day in surprise and euphoria that a relatively obscure part like this, for a 10 year old TVR is held in stock. Bonus.
The new bit fitted nicely as well. If you need one, be quick, there are now 4 left; i know not if more will be knocked out.
Cheers, keep yer rag down + yer chin up...
Yeah, mine had a few gaping holes in it after a quick poke with an old screwdriver. Not any more, however.
Sender unit's still weeping though... bugger. Still, that'll teach me for trying to use silicone sealant on it, which if you hadn't guessed, is not petrol resistant......doh!!!
Tonight's balmy summer drive makes it all worthwhile.
As you so rightly johno, up the 'S'..!!
