.....as it has been affectionately named by Mrs007, has finally arrived.

Many thanks to M@H and Podie for advice , and to all on here who tirelessly give help to the needy.

Tigger needs a considerable amount of TLC and I certainly wouldn't feel confident about owning an S in this condition had I not joined Pistonheads. So I guess the biggest debt of thanks must go to Ted.

Tigger, like his namesake, bounced all the way back from Brum. His ECU has taken the drastic step of cutting the engine out when the pedal is in the first inch of travel. Which makes pulling away, cruising at 40-60 and steady deccelleration, a tad unpredictable. I shall try resetting the ECU and, if that fails, unplugging the throttle pot. Straight in at the deep end of TVR ownership, but loving every minute.

It's good to be back under a bonnet again, reminds me of my youth.

And, speaking of youth, anyone know how to get the neon washer jets working correctly on an S2?

Podie said: Andy... glad you finally picked up the car, but... DID IT RAIN? (usually does when someone picks up an S!).

Hope you get the ECU thing sorted pronto..!

Nah! no rain. Got some sleet after I got home with it, though. Frozen solid this morning, but fired up OK and screen cleared pretty quickly too. Tried the 10 Watt headlights last night, so I think a small upgrade is on my list too.

I hope the ECU thing sorts pronto too. Still got ice and snow on some roads and I can't hold the speed down without it kangarooing about.

Funny you should say that!

I named Mrs007's C3 "Piglet", last year and so she decided to name mine. I happened to say that usually I buy a good car that ends up a pile of pooh, but this time I was going to do it the other way round, so "Pooh" would be a good name. Mrs007 decided that wasn't TVR enough and that Tigger sounded better. So with the bouncing home it's kind of stuck. Hopefully the bouncing will not!

Looking at the guage of wiring for the lights, I will be fitting the Mod-Wise upgrade, wether I use the 80100s or the Visions. The feeling I got from other threads was that the wiring was barely suitable for the standard bulbs let alone 80100s. Whilst the wiring may not melt it will certainly reduce the power reaching the bulb. It would be interesting to compare, the 80100s and the Visions before and after the Mod-Wise upgrade though.
