Discussion
I was wondering whether there was any distance in the idea of organising a meeting of 'S' owners.
Following on from a recent post on the station about the club meetings being dominated by modern cars with owners less inclined to maintain there own vehicles it would be good to be able to get a bunch of us together to have a chat and look at each other cars etc etc
Reality dictates that people are spread around the country, but how many would be interested in this sort of get together ?
I know it's the wrong time of year etc etc etc but how about it.
Ted may have some ideas, pie eating contests etc as an existing 'S' owner....
As for location then that would have to be dictated by majority.
Cheers
Mark
I was going to suggest somewhere in Kent but I might find that difficult to defend ! :-)
Leebee is Oxford area, Pete Humphries is MK area and that is a nice car to poke around. Are you out there you pair ??
Ted's suggestions sounds great, pub will have to do pies though !
I have one idea which is to meet at Virginia Waters which is part of the Windsor Great Park. It has a sufficiently large car park in pleasant surroundings which you have to pay to get into. Next door there is a large Pub which serves decent grub.
It's on the A30 Windsor/Ascot area.
Wot ya' reckon ??
Ted,
This is really gathering some momentum. Next stage is to discuss a date. A sunday morning/luchtime would be the preferred choice I reckon.
This would give people time to organise themselves. Then it would need to be in November (I can't get there in October at all ! ) Are there any dates people definitely can't make.
Ted,
You going to bring some stickers etc etc If you brought some merchandise I may be persuaded to part with some hard earned !
I would like a windscreen sticker the same as the one on your S4 if you've got any....

Thanks John. That sounds good. Err thats Mark really !! I'll have a word with the pub next to Victoria Waters and prep him for the arrival of a few peeps in search of refreshments. I'll also find out how much the car park is as you will need change to get in. It's a couple of quid I think. Keeps out the Max Power Nova's ya know ! Really looking forward to seeing how bad my S really is. Will have to develop some excuses. Hope the weather is good. See you there :-)
Below is a link which shows the location of the Pub which is next to the car park at Virginia Waters.
Steve Parker,
The pub does do accomodation, although I can't personally vouch for it !
Directions will follow this week as we are going to drive it from the M25 spotting Landmarks to make it as easy and comprehensive as possible. If you move North on the map below you will see that it will be J13 that you will come of at. It is pretty easy from there on in to be honest.

Right I'm back from France after chasing 2 Cerbies and 2 Wedges down and back to Honfleur.
Some very quick bits indeed and she never missed a beat !!
The only things that went wrong were my passenger being a little heavy handed with the door handle and when I got off the boat I'd lost the lights and had to drive home on sidelights only !
I will have the directions in the next couple of days for you all.
Cheers

Hello all,
Finally I've nailed these directions for one and all, apologies for the delay but I'm between 2 jobs and a new computer system in both and time is a bit of a commmodity at the moment !!
It is really quite easy to find and I've written the directions for the easiest route from the M25. I was at the car park last Sunday and it was almost empty with enough space to get 25 cars together easily. I know there is a charge but it's worth it to be able to get all the cars in an attractive setting together without issues.
As for my wipers the relay's are working and it appears as though it is something else. I was hoping for a quick win with that one but back to the drawing board !!!
I have these directions as a Word file if anyone wants me to email them with it as a seperate sheet.
Cheers

Directions to Virginia Water.
If travelling from North and West.
Exit M25 at Junction 13 (A30 Staines).
At roundabout go straight over – A30 Bagshot and Egham.
**
You will appear to be travelling back up to the M25 – you must move over to the far left lane – Be careful to not go back onto the M25!
Left lane will run along side the M25 and then curves sharply to the left (great corner – never stops !). At the roundabout take the 2nd exit marked A30 Basingstoke and Camberley.
At the next roundabout (Maranello Ferrari Sales on right – horrible Italian thingies !!!) go straight over – A30 Basingstoke and Camberley. Garage on your left.
Follow the road up the hill past Royal Holloway College and go straight over the traffic light junction at the top of the hill. Continue to follow this road for approx. 1½ to 2 miles.
You are now into the Great Park and you will notice Squirrels and other small animals on the verges. Ah isn’t it lovely. Perfectly suitable to be disturbed by the far more glorious sound of a TVR’s exhaust note !
The Virginia Water Car Park is located on the right hand side of the road before the Total Garage on left and before The Wheatsheaf pub on right.
Access is straight after the ‘40’ limit signs and looks a little like a layby at first with a height restriction gate over the entrance.
If travelling from South and East.
Exit M25 at Junction 13 (A30 Staines).
At roundabout take the 4th exit as if you were doubling back onto the M25.
Follow instructions above from **
You will need £3.50 in change for the Virginia Water Car Park. You have to pay for the car park as you enter rather than as you leave. There are no speed bumps to worry about !!

The idea of the day was to get as many 'S' seires cars together as we could amongst ourselves and friends etc.
I have only assisted in facilitating the idea for it and by no means would I seek to stop any TVR owner with whatever car attending. By all means come along and we'll try to convert you to an 'S' ;-)
As long we get lots of 'S' series cars then we have been successful. A friend of mine may be coming in his Wedge anyway so there you go.
Cheers

Thr front indicators are in the bonnet and are removed with 2 screws. LDV DAF van indicator lenses.
The indicators on the side of the car go into the wing panel and are held in place by spring clips either side of the indicator base.
If you get into the footwell and peel the carpet back around these you will see what I mean. By compressing the spring clips you can then ease them out of the wing.
Recommendation - replace them with Fiesta oval shaped ones. Look far better. Only need to adapt the bodywork very slightly (easy).
Hope the helps, and look forward tio seeing you on the 18th.
