Help and advice- V8S
Discussion
Have been looking at a '93 V8S with the intension
of buying. A couple of concerns. When the car is
cold the speedo needle drops to 'quarter past',
quite normal according to the current owner, it returns to normal when engine started.
When first viewing the car the battery-solenoid/starter motor lead had become HR and only
4volts was being seen. It turns out this feed goes through the rear wheel arch and is then run
under the car. Is this the norm for cars of this
year because when checking a /91 vintage in remained internal. All advice/comments would be
appreciated.
Owner of said V8S allowed me an hours solo test
drive today.......my first experience of TVR grin!
I have to say I'm hooked. Only current concern
is the state of the chassis, not rotten but requiring a fair bit of attention.
LeeBee, thanks for your comments. Any idea about
the battery feed?

Hi HarryW,
I see you're in Hampshire why not come along to the DORSET TVRCC meet next month. I believe it's the first Sunday. It was my first and really enjoyed a good chat with a lot of like minded people. It's held at The Railway located on the Avon Causeway near Hurn.
re the V8S, I did buy sleepy dials after having it checked over by Peninsular. It has certainly livened up the neighbourhood!!
Happy motoring
