Haynes covering the engine?
Discussion
I've just bought an S3 (my first TVR) and love it to bits. It's in great condition but the top of the engine is a bit noisy and I would like to check the valve clearances. I've been waiting for my Steve Heath book for a while but was wondering if there is a specific haynes manual which covers the ford 2.9 v6 in its 'donor' car. Would this provide me with the information on the procedure and the clearance specification I need or would I be better waiting for the Steve Heath book?

Ah, OK, this is a non-cat 2.9 91 H s3.
I'm hoping that once I get a copy of the manual for the specifications and procedures I can either adjust the tappets if they are the lock nut type or reshim them if it's bucket and shims and that'll quieten it down a bit. Any idea which it's most likely to be?

I'll whip the cam cover off and have a quick look. As far as I can tell from listening with a bit of copper pipe only one or possibly two are noisy so I'll compare the gaps with the other side which are much quieter. Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know of a sure fire rapid source of the Steve Heath book or does anyone have one that they may wish to sell now they no longer have the car?
