Whats the score with the ALD registrations on the G plates?

I have one and have noticed quite a few others. Mine is 45, there is a 44 for sale on ebay Gerald-TVR has 39, was it a job lot of pre registered during the early 90's recession?

Would be interested to know how many are out there.scratchchin

40 no longer on DVLA database and I've never seen a Rasmin - very rare model!!!!!!!!!!
The Rasmin was a special edition that had a red R badge on the rearlaugh

If any of you have an iPhone download the mycarcheck app. It's pretty good fun and you can search for your perfect plate to see if it's assigned to a vehicle. I have 2 plates I would love to own, one is on a Bentley Continental the other on a citroen Berlingo!!! It also gives you basic info on a vehicle, good fun if any of your friends have a debadged car and claim it has a juicier enginelaugh

No, it is correct. TVR Engineering didn't alter the registered name of the cars from "280S" to "290S" until later in production, so many S2's have the earlier designation on the V5.
Not only is it correct it's also more reliable than clive's spellcheck laugh
