Hot on the heels of this month's big night out, the cry goes out once more for another big night out. June or July seems like a good time. I am proposing initially a choice of two dates, 25th June or 2nd July.

We've had tapas, curry and Thai. How about a Chinese? I have been recommended a new Chinese restaurant in town which offers an excellent eat-as-much-as-you-can style buffet for about £10. I am reliably informed that it is a firm favourite of the Chinese. It is in the city centre, on George Street (don't know what it is called).

We could do a run out again to the Peak District on the Saturday afternoon too. If enough people are interested in that, I'll start a separate thread.

2nd July it is then if not too many people voice objections to that date. 16th July is BBQ&T and 23rd is Goodwood Festival of Speed.

25th june is my birthday so either night will be good for me ,and the run out too of course. oh ,can I have a beating as well please.(mmm good looking woman with a whip).

I think it will be the 2nd July now as we can't not have Warren on board as chief navigator in the Bentley barge. I've just signed up for an IAM course too, so should be better able to control the sherry shuffler on the next run

I shall be dishing out beatings to anyone and everyone - with pleasure

Btw Emma, should I start a separate thread for the run I mentioned this afternoon? How about trying for late may?

Sounds good! Could do a heads up for 28th May. It will be, of course, not replace the 2nd July one.

Ta!

Why have cotton when you can have silk?

Yowza! Five years of training...Hey up Charlie!

"We hurt you longtime."

And I don't like the implication, Warren, of me being cotton.

So, the plan is:

2nd July, 8pm

No1 Oriental Buffet Resaturant

7-9 George Street, Nottingham NG1 3BU
Tel 0115 959 8333
www.no1buffet.com

EmmaP (Spare ribs)
Minimax (Spare diff anyone?)
Balmoral Green (Spare tyre?)
Ace-T & Judas (Going spare)
Chassis 33 (Whats spare time?)
supaspark (Spare coil?)
Rafdug* (Spare vest)
JSG (Don't de-spare)
Matt_fp (Spare wing, spoiler, bonnet, wheels...required)
V15ben (If he can spare the time )
LongQ* (Spare us a dime, guv?)

Well, I checked out the restaurant on Friday night and the good news is that the food is excellent. The choice is superb (including starters) and you even get a desert if you have room*. There are over 60 dishes available! There is nothing posh about this place, but the staff are very pleasant and there are quite a few big tables to accomodate larger groups (6 or 8). The Saturday Grand Buffet is £9.50, students can eat for £8.55, so make sure you have your NUS card Ben

*There is actually a £3 surcharge for wastage.
