53Chevy's truck from a few different angles. Superb patina. The shots don't do it justice being such a grey day.

Got any frontal pics? and what about the bullet holes

Didn't see any bullet holes!

I was going to work around to the front - did the back first as is was a little more sheltered from the wind so I had a chance to stand up! Also offered slightly better looking light at the time. And the rear view allowed me to exclude more content that, whilst nice, was not what I wanted in the shot.

Then it rained (again). And I used up a film on a race and decided I really could not be bothered to shoot any more shots as it was by no means an ideal day for it.

Now what it really needs is a nice sunnier day with less wind and a more photogenic backdrop. Well, that and someone behind the camera with a lot more flair!

I remember seeing you taking the pictures now. I saw you behind the truck and I thought you'd slid down the grass bank at one point .
Some good pics there, thanks.
Roger.

I thought I was going to slide down the bank! But had to make use of the opportunity to get a shot that would normally require lying on the ground!

When I have done some proper scans of the original negatives I'll burn a CD for you and arrange delivery.

Great shots Grant. Shame it was at Donny and not Oklahoma

Ah! The old I think I'll get a lower vantage point routine

Cheers Emma!

I wanted to get the 'snakes belly' view - seemed appropriate somehow - for the US at least, though maybe not Oklahoma. Does Oklahoma have snakes?

I think the paint layers on the cab offer an entire shoot subject by themselves! Sort of motoring version of all those edgy urban shots of dark alleys and used doorways. Maybe should get a tilt and shift lens though ... seems like the right sort of gear to have to shoot a pickup (absent bullet holes ...)
