Dear All,

Just be aware that debit card cloning has taken place recently at the Shell station in Leamington. Dodgy employees who set up a camera on the PIN machine appear to be to blame.

For the moment, the station has now discarded the PIN machine in favour of a good old signature. Allegedly there are several hundred people who may be affected. It's my regular station. My bank tell me that I'm not affected, but I've cancelled my card just in case. Better safe than skint!

Cheers
Matt

Not sure Doug. May be worth asking local Plod. There is at least one other station in my area that is currently under investigation following half a dozen instances where cards were cloned and cash taken from accounts.

Seems that the biggest offenders are Eastern Europeans that we have "welcomed" to the UK. Grrrrrr! Makes me mad

My boyfriend has had some interesting experiences from what he's said about this petrol station in Leamington. If he's that side of town and desperate for fuel he'll just go to Kenilworth.

Probably a good idea Holly. Having said that, Comptons Shell in Lillington is closer and they're a nice bunch in there.

Cheers

Just heard that a friend of a friend was relieved of £1750 following a card clone at this petrol station. He's not at all a happy chappy.

Hi Rob,

I used the station on Saturday and it's still sign on the dotted line. I've changed my M3 for a 330d M-Sport, but I'll keep an out for your M Coupe.

Cheers
Matt
