Horsepower at the House, 18th March breakfast meet, Dorset
Discussion
Good afternoon all,
For 2023 we have the opportunity to host a monthly event within the grounds of the stunning Athelhampton House, Dorset. Welcoming all vehicle types, the concept is simple – if you have something of interest, or are interested yourself to learn more about others' vehicles, then come along and share some memories with many like-minded enthusiasts.
We’ve teamed up with the events management team at Athelhampton and intend to run monthly events, falling on Saturday’s and between 9-11am. Our initial meeting is planned for March 18th 2023 and will be managed through pre-registered attendees.
Previously we ran a monthly enthusiast group at the Kitchen Club in Bournemouth, and having missed the easy-going relaxed atmosphere of such gatherings, it’s spurred us on to organise similar. Only this time, within the stunning grounds of one of Dorset’s hidden treasures – Athelhampton House. 'Teaming Up' with the House makes it sound far more grand than we intend, at the crux of it all are two petrol-heads whom are keen to share some petrol stories / horrors with others.
The House catering team have agreed a discounted selection of refreshments and nosh for those attending, with hot / cold drinks, fresh Danish pastries and hot bacon rolls available. These will be available from 10am. Oh, and we’re sure there are vegetarian options too, fear not.
If you are keen to attend, please simply reply to this thread with your name, your vehicle and also if you intend to take advantage of a bloody good bite to eat and drink. As this is our first event, we’re keen to give advanced awareness to Athelhampton in respect of numbers. We're all for the odd duplicate make and model, but in the interest of variety, the event is intended for private individuals and not car clubs. There may be a corresponding private Faceache group created and event, but we're keen to cater for those that still frequent the good ol' PH forums.
Thanks all for your time and I'll kick off proceedings;
Location; Athelhampton House, Puddletown, Dorchester DT2 7LG

Hey James, great idea. I really miss the old Kitchen Club days, had a right laugh and met some amazing people and Eddie.
Can’t make this one but I’ll definitely look forward to the others.
Hell yeah!! I still occasionally speak to Dave P, Eddie, Rob G etc. Be great to get some old-familiar faces back (old as in from the old group, not age )Can’t make this one but I’ll definitely look forward to the others.

Hi James, I’d be interested in coming along to this. I would bring my Alpine A110S but it’s likely to still be off the road then, so if It’s not too embarrassing I’ll be a Vauxhall Mokka hire car (the shame!). We would be up for food too x2.
Still a petrol head! I'll add you both shortlyEdited by s111dpc on Sunday 26th February 13:20

I know it’s really late notice but me and my friend Hannah would love to come down in my e36 328i coupe and her 328i saloon. Not sure how we clean out in our details?
Good evening, happy to add you two - but we are now at capacity so aside from the two below, that will be all.Scoobydrew95 said:
Also apologies for a very late reply too, only just seen this.
Is there space for myself (andrew) Audi b5 a4 2.8 avant and my friend (Callum) Audi b4 80 2.6 coupe to join? Both for food and drink, if it's all good!
