Wrong forum I know, I thought I'd add it on here in case any of the brekky regulars fancied a hoon around my stomping ground.

I'm thinking of organising a drive out starting and ending in newbury. I have a route that I use for hooning and takes roughly 90 minutes when pushing on. After the drive if anyone wants to I can arrange brekky at a cafe (nothing fancy mind). If this goes ahead I will probably go for an early Sunday morning. Probably starting at daybreak so fairly early to try and avoid traffic and the rozzers. I will cap numbers at 10 so as to keep it small and easy to manage. Any one can turn up for breakfast and a chat you only have to be on the list for the drive. Cafe is yet to be decided. Any cars welcome.

Any interested please leave a comment so I can gauge interest and see if it's worth putting more thought into this. Cheers all.
EDIT:
List is now live, add your name and car if you wish to attend. cheers, Adam.

Could be up for this mate depending on date. That Cheddar run and the fact my car is going into TGM on Monday has skinted me out a bit!
Yeah bit tight on funds this end but got to enjoy yourself otherwise what the bloody point eh!

Id like to try and do it fairly soon so the light is still ok fairly early. hopefully this will get some interest and make it worthwhile.

Right, so far interest has been expressed by kewy and red devel (AKA Tony) both depending on finer details of course. would be nice to see a few more of the regulars on this. At the moment I'm thinking of aiming for either the 14th of October or the 21st of October. I'm very open to suggestions however and if anyone has a preferred date im happy to hear it.

Just been looking at sunrise times for mid October and it's going to be getting light at about 7. I will probably make it so that we meet for 6:40 - 6:45 to have left by 7.

Also been looking at breakfast options and I'm going to have a word with the hare and hounds in speen to see if they are open and willing to do trade with us lot!

After a large brainfart and prompting it has occurred to end the run at the hinton to meet up with the pub club. I still want to leave newbury at 7ish I expect we will get back to newbury for 9ish and then a run down the a339, across the a32, and back up the a272 will see us arriving at the hinton between 10 and 10 30 at a rough guess. I think this is what I may do but feel free to share opinions and off course it's optional and your free to go your own separate way if you wish to.

I am going to speak to the hinton arms later and see how they operate breakfast wise. If anyone wants me to book them a place for breakfast please let me know. Cheers, Adam.

I'm gonna have to see how the car is for this one. Came back from the garage the other day and its not fixed so going back in week after next.

Something doesn't feel right with the transmission and I can't help but thrash the tits off it when we go out. Will see if it gets any better or worse between now and then, and/or if I can get Rich to come and jump in the slut2k with him.
Sam please don't take this the wrong way but id really rather you didn't invite rich. Couple of reasons for this, on cheddar he was overtaking other members of the group in some really silly places for, as far as I could tell, no reason at all. no need for that.

The main problem for me was his aggressive tailgating. It was really something else, stupidly close to other cars and not just at slow speed. I don't want him to taint the enjoyable drive I'm intending. This sounds very blunt reading it back and it isn't meant to cause any difficulty or offense but I think it needs saying. None of this applies to you or your driving from what I've seen and I really hope you can make the run smile.

No not for the other runs as far as I know although I'm not the only one who didn't like some of his driving. Sure he's not intentionally doing it to annoy anyone but it's not fun driving when someone's that close to you. Hope you can make the run mate.

That's a great photo!! Really apreciate you and Matt braving the shocking weather. Glad that you enjoyed the half of the run that you did, extremely lively to say the least. Me and Tony finished of the route as planned and it didn't let up at all.

Out on the a338 toward Salisbury a Beemer had hit standing water and had seemingly interacted with the scenery before spinning it back into the road. Front end was FUBAR, law was already there so nothing we could do. Then on the return run someone had missed a junction or perhaps aqua planed straight on into a road sign, road sign won! Knackered vw polo.

Ended up following Tony down south for the pub club which turned out to be a complete wash out. Decent drive down there though.

Deffinetly treacherous out today, glad everyone who attended got home safely, thanks again, Adam.

Sorry Adam, wouldn’t normally back out of a hoon, but the conditions this morning were horrendous. It really wasn’t worth risking it, just to get to the meeting point alone. Glad to see you did manage to get out with a few. Definitely next time mate.
Absolutely fine Aly, roads were treacherous and really had to have our wits about us. Hopefully get better weather next weekend for your run.
